On Thursday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Brendan Lannon who is Head of Advocacy and Communications with Chime Ireland. Brendan discussed Ireland’s first hearing loss documentary called ‘Hearing Loss – Through The Noise’ which was created in close collaboration with Chime Ireland. The fifty minute subtitle documentary is set to air on World Hearing Day which will take place tomorrow Friday 3rd of March. He described the documentary which raises the issue of hearing loss being ignored throughout Ireland along with highlighting the consequences of this. Brendan also mentioned Chime’s efforts to obtain a natural hearing care plan in Ireland as recommended by the World Health Organisation. ‘Hearing Loss – Through The Noise’ is set to air on DCTV virgin media channel 802 at 7pm on Friday March 3rd.
