On Tuesday’s Morning Focus, Alan spoke to Paddy Waldron from Kilrush and District Historical Society who recently celebrated their tenth anniversary. Paddy discussed the Commemoration of the Famine in 2013, which was a week long programme of events ran throughout West Clare, including a visit from President Michael D. Higgins. He also described the effects of the Famine on West Clare between the years of 1845-1852.
