On Monday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Anne Mick, newly appointed Director of Governance and Board Welfare with Haven Hub along with Leona O’ Callaghan the Founder and Director of Public Relations with Haven Hub. They highlighted the peer support Haven Hub provide to those that are in distress or at risk of suicide with more than 70 volunteers across its branches. Leona outlined her own past mental health difficulties along with describing the support she received through difficult times. She emphasized the importance of reaching out for help when it is necessary and urged anybody who wishes to avail of the Haven Hub Services, to do so. Anne and Leona described the services that Heaven Hub offer and mentioned their goals for mental health stigma in Ireland.
They called on people to come forward and volunteer for a number of roles with Haven Hub.
