On Friday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Sergeant Catriona Holohan who is the Liaison Sergeant for Domestic Abuse and Chairperson of the Clare Local Area Network. Catriona discussed ‘Go Purple Day’ which is a national day of fundraising and awareness for local domestic violence services taking place this Friday 28th of April. She mentioned the important role of the Clare Local Area Network who are a group of volunteers from an array of agencies across the county who assist people to overcome domestic violence in the home. She spoke about the upcoming coffee morning being held in Ennis Garda Station at 11am on Friday 28th of April which is an opportunity for services across Clare to come together and raise awareness on the issue.
