On Friday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Garry Shannon who is a musician with the Kilfenora Céilí Band and Edel Vaughan who is a singer and teacher in St Flannan’s College. The duo discussed the upcoming St Flannan’s Céilí Band reunion of 1981 which is set to take place in Glór this Sunday January 22nd at 8pm. The night will feature a re-launch of the album produced in 1981 featuring current St Flannan’s students and old veterans. Garry spoke about the previous history of the band and album that was produced in 1981 that featured Noel Hill, Tony Linnane and Paul Roche. Edel spoke about the legacy of the album which tied in with the centenary of the school and described her excitement for the upcoming reunion.
