On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Paul Blount who is the Portfolio Director at FuturEnergy Ireland. Paul reviewed FuturEnergy Ireland’s second newsletter for the proposed Knockshanvo Wind Farm which includes a first draft turbine layout. He also reviewed the location of the proposed renewable energy development located on a site south of Broadford and 4km east of Sixmilebridge. He described the massively positive impact the windfarm can have which can potentially generate enough power for 30,000 homes. He stated that the project is still in it’s early stages and he hopes to receive feedback from the local community regarding the second newsletter.
