The dairy season is kicking into action soon so now is the time to get your farm in order.
On this week’s podcast, Teagasc’s Tom Gleeson has advice on managing your farm this month, to ease pressure when February and March hit (from 1:02).
Also this week, we take a trip to the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition, where Clare was strongly represented.
Among the projects was one that would see laser technology used to cut down on farm deaths at slurry pits.
Abbey Hehir from St John Bosco Community College in Kildysart explains how that will work (18:43).
And finally, we also have a general outlook of farming in 2020, coming from Paul Carkill, who is a specialist working with Liffey mills in Ennis.
Paul has lots of advice from 12:23.
