Ennis National School Pupils Make Their Own Rap Songs

Young pupils at Ennis National School got the chance to write and record their own songs with a professional musician as part of an initiative commissioned by Clare Arts Office.

Shannon-based artist and producer John Lillis of Rusangano Family/RTÉ Choice Music fame, alongside the school’s teachers, helped to introduce sixty 3rd and 5th class students to music technology, culminating in two rap performances on the theme of nature.

John joined us on Thursday’s programme, along with teacher Lisa Walshe, and students Daria and Conor.
