On Tuesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined live in studio by Marie Hanley who is the Project Leader of the ‘Message in a Bottle’ initiative with the Ennis Lions Club. Maria discussed the initiative which is being carried out in order to aid the emergency services when arriving on the scene of a person’s home who may be very ill or have experienced an accident. She discussed the idea behind this which is to provide emergency services with personal and medical details rapidly with all information being able to be located within a bottle. She highlighted the fact that this initiative may save many lives and thanked the emergency services for the interest they have placed in the initiative. Maria described her goal for most houses in County Clare to have one of these bottles in case of emergency.
