On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined live in studio by Chris Curran of the Chris Curran School of Motoring in Ennis. Chris discussed the recent instruction given by Fórsa trade union who have instructed driver testers that they should only conduct a driving test in a vehicle carrying a valid NCT. He described the implications this will have on learner drivers seeking to complete their driving test and exactly when this will come into effect. He made reference to the 375,000 cars on Irish roads without a valid NCT. Chris also assessed options for learner drivers who have an upcoming driving test but may not have a valid NCT on their car or the car they were going to use for the test itself.
