Edna O’Brien is among eleven trailblazing Munster women who have been chosen for this year’s Women on Walls Campaign in UCC.
The legendary Clare novelist, memoirist, playwright, poet and short-story writer died last July at the age of 93. More than 600 nominations were submitted by members of the public following an open call for subject suggestions.

An open call to artists has now been announced to create the portrait series, which will hang in UCC’s historic Aula Maxima.
