East Clare Musical Society Set To Perform ‘Sister Act’

On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined live in studio by members of the East Clare Musical Society who are set to perform ‘Sister Act’ in Scariff between April 6th and 9th. Alan spoke to John O’Brien who is the Musical Director of ‘Sister Act’ and is the Chair of the society, Sinead O’Callaghan who is playing the lead role in the production along with Kevin Saude who is a new member of the society. Sinead commented on the history of East Clare Musical Society and outlined some of the productions she has been involved in over the years. Kevin discussed his delight to be involved in a production such as this one and revealed how much he is enjoying being part of the society. John made reference to East Clare Musical Society’s first ever production in 2005 and previewed the upcoming production of ‘Sister Act’. He also stated the importance of nurturing young talent in East Clare.
The production of ‘Sister Act’ is set to take place in Scariff Community College between April 6th and 9th.
