Donald Trump Facing Federal Charges

On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Larry Donnelly, Boston attorney, University of Galway Law Lecturer and Political columnist with the journal. Donald Trump appeared in court in Miami and pleaded not guilty to charges of mishandling sensitive files, becoming the first ever US president to face federal charges. Larry discussed the federal criminal charges that are being held against Donald Trump. He also highlighted the loyal following Trump has gained over his years in politics and the influence he has. Larry explained that due to the United States law regarding serving as president, Donald Trump could potentially be convicted and given a prison sentence and he still could technically serve as president.
