“Diabetic services available to those in Clare were bad before Covid, but are even worse now”- that’s according to local type one diabetic Gráinne Flynn.
Gráinne, is a volunteer with Diabetes Ireland and and runs a blog called Blood Sugar Trampoline. The Ennis-based diabetes blogger says many diabetics across the county are very upset as their appointments have been repeatedly cancelled and rescheduled.
On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Gavin Grace speaks to Gráinne about the experience of local diabetics during the pandemic.
