On Tuesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Declan Kelleher who is the Cathaoirleach Cumann Staire is Dúchais Chora Finne. Declan spoke about St Brigid’s Church in Corofin which is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year. He discussed the work of John Murphy who was the Parish Priest in 1818 who travelled far and wide in an effort to raise funds to build a church in Corofin. Declan highlighted the significance of the church which was the first Catholic church in the Killaloe Diocese to be architecturally designed.
