Clare Councillors have spoken out against high levels of dumping, saying the problem has worsened since the onset of COVID-19.
Calls have been made for a series of actions to target those responsible, including working with the Gardaí, more checkpoints and CCTV, and even naming and shaming offenders.
The issue is said to be particularly bad in East and South-East Clare.
