On Thursday’s Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Clare adventurer Declan McEvoy and Oleksii Subbotin, who will embark on a ride across the country.
Declan, from Quin, who has traveled the various continents of the Earth, usually does so on a motorbike. His latest trip, however, will see him swapping it for a bicycle.

Declan is planning to do a 245-kilometer coast-to-coast bicycle ride from Salthill in Galway to the 40-foot in Dublin. He, along with Oleksii Subbotin will start the trip with a swim at the Blackrock Diving Tower in Salthill and finish with a swim at Dublin’s 40 foot.
It’s all for a fantastic cause, as Declan and Oleksii will be raising funds for Simon Community.
