On Monday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined live in studio by Sean Considine who is a Clooney-Quin native and winner of an All Ireland handball title aged 14. Sean’s mother Orla also joined the conversation. Sean discussed his upcoming trip to the USA, where he will compete in the under 15 US Nationals in handball in Minnesota. He described his ambition to compete in competitions abroad in order to test his skill set and outlined the challenge he faced in raising money to fund the trip. Orla expressed her delight at Sean’s success and believes that his trip to the USA will significantly bolster his handball career.
