Clare TY Students Set Out Their Vision For Ennis In Council Chambers

On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined live in studio by Gaelcholáiste an Chláir students Myriam Andre-Liddane, Dylan Ó Riain, Bridget Nic Suibhne, Ennis Community College student Chantelle Eze and teacher Martina McMahon and Chief Operating Officer of Ennis 2040 D.A.C Kevin Corrigan. Kevin discussed Clare TY student’s recent presentation to a panel of judges yesterday as part of the Ennis 2040 D.A.C. education and public consultation programme. He spoke about the surveys carried out by students regarding energy, biodiversity and transportation in Ennis. Kevin believes that the future of Ennis is in bright hands following the presentations. Martina made reference to the level of work that was put into the project and outlined some of the activities that the school took part in as part of their preparation. The students mentioned their delight at getting to know more about the Ennis 2040 plan and wish to create a more sustainable future for Ennis.
