One of Clare’s star athletes finds herself with a battle to return home after the sporting series she moved halfway around the world for was stalled.
Kilmihil native Ailish Considine was a Clare dual player before accepting an offer to move to Adelaide to play with the Adelaide Crows last year.
She’s playing with them again this season but got just one round into the League before it was shut down. Now, Considine is struggling to find a flight before an Australian international travel ban kicks in on Sunday.
