Clare Restauranteurs Debate Return To Indoor Dining

Could July 26th be the day that you get to return to an inside table in restaurants and pubs across County Clare?

Hospitality industry representatives met with senior government officials yesterday afternoon in a bid to find a pathway back to the return of indoor dining.

The Government is looking to pass new legislation in the next week on allowing only vaccinated people to eat inside restaurants.

The Cabinet will consider six reopening options when it meets on Tuesday, after talks were held with hospitality representatives yesterday.

The proposals include a system that allows only vaccinated people and those recovered from Covid indoors, a system which has been operating successfully in many other EU countries.

But how will these new proposals work in practice?
