Clare Primed For (Delayed) Championship debut

Five months later than planned, Clare begin their Munster Hurling Championship campaign against Limerick this Sunday. In a season like no other, the much-delayed game will have no fans in attendance but it will be an important game for Clare fans, and the Banner team.
It’s also a landmark occasion for former Clare stalwart Brian Lohan who takes charge of his native county for the first time.

On Friday’s Morning Focus, Gavin Grace spoke to Brian Lohan, manager of the Clare Senior Hurling team, firstly about the COVID-enforced confusion and uncertainty, given that there were questions about whether the match would even be allowed to go ahead as recently as this week.
