Clare Plans For Future With 2030 Tourism Strategy Launch

On Tuesday’s Morning Focus, Gavin Grace was joined by Deirdre O’Shea, Acting Head of Tourism for Clare County Council and Seán Lally, Incoming Chair of the Clare Tourism Recovery Taskforce, ahead of the launch of Clare’s 2030 Tourism Strategy.

The strategy prioritises developing the profile, experiences and infrastructure of Ennis as a core hub attraction and gateway to the county, working with community partners to strengthen the role of towns and villages as destination hubs, working with Shannon Airport to secure and sustain new routes, the development of the West Clare Rail Greenway, promoting the Lower Lough Derg as a signature destination, establishing sustainable travel options designed to support tourism and elevating the international significance of the Burren & Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark.
