Clare Mother Outlines Difficulty Accessing Booster Vaccine Without PPS Number

On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Lucy Downes from Kilrush, whose daughter has recently moved here from Canada.

As Lucy’s daughter wasn’t born in Ireland, she has no PPS number and as such, hasn’t been able to access a booster vaccine.

HSE RESPONSE:
A person who had their Covid-19 vaccine course in another jurisdiction can avail of the booster vaccine in Ireland. If a person has received their vaccines in another country and are eligible for their booster they can ring HSELive on 1800 700 700 where they can register for their booster vaccine and will be asked to give information in relation to the Covid-19 vaccines already received, (when, where and the batch number) so that HSELive can record this. This information must be collected in order to facilitate the booster appointment.
