Clare man opens up about his experience with prostate cancer

52-year-old Damian Fox from Quin is well known in Clare as a referee and a postman. But, what many don’t realise is that Damian was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2018 and underwent surgery that same year to have his prostate removed.

Damian had no symptoms and was fit and healthy, but the decision to get a blood test is one which saved his life. If he had delayed mere days longer, his diagnosis could have been terminal.

This month is Blue September – a month to raise awareness of Prostate Cancer on Friday’s Morning Focus, Gavin Grace spoke to Damian about his experience with cancer.
