Clare Campaigner Celebrates Extension Of Medical Cards To Terminally Ill

Yesterday, the Health Minister announced that people with a terminal illness will now be entitled to a medical card.

The government expanded the eligibility criteria, which will see cards available to all those who are terminally ill and have a prognosis of up to 24 months.

The government announcement comes after extensive lobbying on the issue, including by Quin man John Wall who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
