On Tuesday’s Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Allen McDonagh from Liscannor who spent many years struggling with drug addiction, and Eric Nelligan, Aontú representative for Castletroy in Limerick to discuss the ‘strong mood for change’ for liberalisation of drugs according to Assembly Chairman Pail Reid.

The body could call for a liberalisation of drugs laws, despite opposition from Gardaí and some prominent health figures. Gardaí argue it would reduce their search powers and could make Ireland a tourist destination for drugs.
