On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Michael Guerin who is a Senior Addiction Counsellor at Cuan Mhuire in Bruree. Michael discussed a call placed on the Government to consider introducing tougher curbs against gambling advertising in Ireland. He described the aggressive advertising techniques used by betting companies in particular on weeks such as the ongoing Cheltenham Festival and highlighted the cases of problematic gambling he faces on a daily basis.
