A new lobby group has been formed to campaign for the HSE to continue the delivery of medicinal cannabis to those in need. Usually around 40 patients have to travel to the Netherlands themselves to pick up the drug, however the health service has stepped in during the pandemic.

On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Gavin Grace spoke to Vera Twomey, mother to Ava, who has Dravet’s Syndrome and relies on medicinal cannabis to control her seizures. Vera has been told that next year, she was once again have to make the trip every 12 weeks for the medication.
