The stalling of works on the Northern Distributor road has been met by huge public backlash.
Some €19m has already been spent on the estimated €58m road due to be developed between Coonagh and Knockalisheen.

Transport Minister and Green Party Leader Minister Eamon Ryan has yet to approve the tender for the Northern Distributor Road project, even though it’s substantially ready to go.
