Plans are afoot to commemorate the late Caitriona Lucas, the Doolin Coastguard volunteer who heroically gave her life in a sea search in Kilkee in September 2016.
Her husband Bernard, also a volunteer, is one of the organisers of a challenge that will see him and a team of colleagues undertake ‘The Caitriona Lucas Challenge’.
Starting on June 8, they’ll climb all of the peaks in each county in Ireland – all inside the space of 9 days. All proceeds will go towards the Friends of Ennistymon Hospital.
