The Burren Hosts International Cave-Rescue Collaboration

On Thursday’s Morning Focus, Pat Flynn was joined by senior ICRO member from Ennis, Brían MacCoitir and founder of the Meghalaya Adventurers’ Association, Brian Kharpran Daly.

County Clare-based members of the Irish Cave Rescue Organisation (ICRO) are currently hosting members of the Meghalaya Adventurers’ Association(MAA) as the Indian cavers visit the Banner County for the first time for a highly anticipated specialist training event.

BrÍan discussed the work ICRO does and outlined that the two main rescue bases are stationed in Clare.

Brian Kharpan Daly spoke about the Meghalaya Adventurers’ Association being involved with exploration and mapping of caves. He also explained that these training events will be vital for rescue situations.
