On Thursday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined live in studio by Carol Gleeson who is the Manager of the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark along with Cathleen Connole of Burren Food and Wine. They discussed a series of GEOfood events that are taking place throughout May in order to showcase local food producers from all over the Burren. GEOfood is a new international project which has evolved with international GEOparks worldwide which aims to promote the producer of core food products. Cathleen and Carol looked ahead to events beginning this weekend including afternoon tea and the Burren slow food festival. They also highlighted what else is in store for the Burren over the coming weeks.
