Clare FM's Morning Focus with John Cooke has been inundated with messages of support for the Ennistymon families who face the prospect of losing their homes and businesses to make way for a new road as a solution to traffic problems at the infamous Blake's Corner Junction.
Since the plans were revealed on Clare FM, petitions have been drawn up and a new committee has been formed following a public meeting at the Falls Hotel where hundreds came to make their opposition known.
