You’ll have heard of BEAM – or to give it its full title, the Beef Exceptional Aid Measure.
The €100 million fund is an emergency measure for the beef sector at a time when they are struggling with low prices, as well as the threat of Brexit on the horizon.
It has received a mixed reaction from farming groups since being announced by the government and the EU with many saying it amounts to too little too late.
