On Tuesday’s Morning Focus Alan was joined by Johnny Meynell from Halifax, the author of a new biography on Mick Kennedy. It’s called Tackle This? The Biography Of Football Hardman Mick Kennedy.
Mick was a professional footballer who played for a number of clubs during his career including Halifax Town, Huddersfield Town, Middlesbrough.
Although Mick was born in England, he won two caps for Ireland, early on in Jack Charlton’s reign as Ireland manager. During his career Mick made the move to Ireland, and he even coached in Clare, at both Kilmaley and Lifford.
