On Monday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Angus Mitchell who is the director of a short film called ‘Remembering Bulmer Hobson’. Angus discussed the life of Bulmer Hobson and the role that he played in the struggle for Irish Freedom. He spoke about the crucial role he played in founding Na Fianna Éireann and the Irish Republican Brtoherhood (IRB). He also highlighted his role in the 1916 Easter Rising and the complications that arose in the aftermath. Angus got involved in the production of the film as he wished to promote Bulmer with the recognition he deserves for the role that he played in Irish history.
The screening of the film will take place in Newmarket in the Small Hall on Monday 27th February at 8pm.
