On Monday’s Morning Focus, Clare FM’s Rebecca O’Sullivan spoke to Kilrush retiree Agnes Flewelling who has been issued with a 23% increase on her rent.
As there are no rent caps in Clare, Agnes’s landlord is entitled to up the rent every two years as long as they can provide examples of other properties nearby going for a similar rate.
She spoke to Rebecca about how vulnerable older renters are.
