10th Anniversary Of Banner GAA Charity Cycle

The Banner GAA Charity Cycle 2025 takes place this May Bank Holiday weekend – and it marks the tenth year of the club’s charity efforts, which began back in 2015.

This year’s 250km cycle, in aid of Bushypark Addiction Centre, will see 19 cyclists aged 40 to 70 take on a two-day journey from Athlone to Dublin via the Old Rail Trail and Royal Canal Greenways.

The event has raised thousands for local causes and supported projects like the club’s hurling wall, walking track, and upcoming astroturf pitch.

To find out more, Alan Morrissey was joined by John Hogan, who will represent the Banner and Mags Nash, Bushypark Addiction Centre.
