Teresa Scanlon (née Leyden)
Laghtagoona, Corofin and formerly of Devizes, England.
With sadness, yet in celebration of her life, we announce the passing of Teresa Philomena Scanlon on 1 April 2026. Teresa was the devoted wife of Bill, who we pray she is reunited with in heaven.
Teresa had the brightest spirit and the strongest will,she was the centre of her family’s universe, and she cared for so many in her long nursing career. An all-Ireland champion knitter, Teresa had a great eye for craft and beauty, with a love of traditional music. As a proud sponsor of the Corofin Traditional Festival, we hope that she will be accompanied by a sweet and lilting tune toward her lasting rest with Bill. Bless her always.
Reposing at St. Brigid’s Church Corofin on Easter Sunday evening 5th April from 6 pm to 7.30 pm.
Requiem Mass on Monday at 12 noon followed by burial in Laghtagoona cemetery.
