Ballinaclough, Cappataggle Co. Galway also Knockaluskruan Barefield and St. Joseph’s Nursing home Ennis. Peacefully on Wednesday 19th of August 2026 in the care of the staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital Ennis.
Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Delia, sisters and brothers, Rita, Charlie, Tommy, Eileen, Jack and Patrick.
Deeply missed by his brother Dermot (England), nephews Michael O’Connor (Crusheen, Clare) and Brian Clarke, nieces Caroline Sheridan, Geraldine King, Paula Newbold (England), sisters-in-law Nora and Irene, grand nephews, grand nieces, cousins, relatives and many friends in Cappataggle and neighbouring Parishes.
May Robbie’s gentle soul Rest In Peace back in his beloved Cappy.
Robbie will Repose in Cappataggle Community Centre (H53E685) on Friday evening 21st of August from 6pm with removal to St. Michael’s Church Cappataggle at 8pm.
A celebration Mass of Robbie’s life will take place on Saturday at 11am with burial afterwards in Killalaghton Graveyard.
Sincere thanks to St. Joseph’s Nursing home staff and medical personnel who cared so well for Robbie in recent years and also Alison his carer for a number of years.
Thanks also to his neighbours in Cappataggle and Spancilhill who were so good to him all his life.
