Patrick (Pat) Gaughran
Newmarket-on-Fergus, formerly Shannon, County Clare and originally from Hospital in County Limerick. Pat passed away peacefully at University Hospital Limerick surrounded by his loving family on 28th October 2026.
He is predeceased by his parents Nora and Jim Gaughran, and his brother Bill.
He will be greatly missed by his daughters Jacqueline (O’Connor), Karen (O’Brien), Suzanne (Stritch), and Gwen (O’Connell), sons Paul and Philip and his wife Ann. Daughters-in-law, sons-in-law and his grandchildren Luke, Ross, Adam, Melissa, Sarah, Eli, Laura, Chloe, Isaac, Kim, Jason, Paul and Tiernan, as well as his great grandchild Frankie.
His sisters Mary (Fagan) and Ann (Brennan), and his brother Rupert, sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
May Pat’s gentle soul Rest in Peace.
Pat will lie in repose at McMahon’s Funeral Home Shannon, on Thursday, 29th October from 6-7:30pm.
Funeral Mass will take place at Ss. John & Paul Church, Shannon on Friday, 30th October at 11:30am followed by burial in St. John the Baptist Cemetery Hospital, County Limerick.
