The death has taken place peacefully of Mikie (Michael) Whelan, Clohanes, Cree, Co Clare, in his 101st year, in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Regina House, Kilrush.
Beloved husband of the late Ciss (Brigdet) nee Cunningham.
Predeceased by his brothers Willie, Patrick, Stephen and Johnny, sisters Mary Kearney and Kate O’Connell.
Deeply loved by the Cunningham family, Francis, Rosie, Mark, Dean and Gary. Deeply regretted by his sister in law Anne Whelan,nieces, nephews, friends and caring neighbours.
May he Rest in Peace.
Reposing Thursday evening 29th December in Considine’s Funeral Home, Cree from 5 – 6.30pm. Requiem Mass Friday at 2pm in The Church of our Lady Assumed into Heaven, Doonbeg, followed by burial in Clohanes Cemetry. Mass can be viewed live on the Doonbeg Parish webcam.
