Doon, Tubber , Co. Clare Peacefully, in The Galway Clinic on the 12th of August 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Mary O’Brien, brothers Monsignor Patrick, Fr. Michael and Fr. Martin and his sisters Sr. Clare and Sr. Kathleen.
Survived and sadly missed by his wife Mary, his loving sons Michael, Donal, John, daughters Madeline, Patricia, Clare, daughters-in-law, Liz, Áine, Goretti, sons-in-law, Manfred, Shane, Keith and adored grandchildren, Fiona, Cathal, Conor, Oisín, Caoimhe, Aoife, James, Niamh, Liam, Sinéad, James and Seán, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

Reposing in O’Donnell’s Funeral Home Crusheen on Thursday evening 14th of August from 5.30pm with removal at 7.30pm to Ballinruan Church.
Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon followed by burial in Doon Cemetery.
