George passed away peacefully on Tuesday 17th February 2026, following a short illness, borne with great dignity, in St. Theresa’s Nursing Home, Kilrush, Co. Clare in his 94th year.
Predeceased by his mother Frances, father Dr. Donough, brother Michael and his sisters Monica and Morlin (Sr Marie Joan).
Sadly missed by his adored wife Rose, son Donough, brother Maccon, sister-in-law Finola, nieces Morlin and Miriam, nephews Lochloinn, Mahon, Tiernan and Maccon-Fionn, extended family and a wide circle of friends
Funeral Arrangements: Reposing at Kennedy’s Funeral Home, Ennis, on Wednesday 18th February from 6 pm until 7 pm.
Arriving at Shannon Crematorium on Thursday 19th February for Funeral Service at 11 am.
No flowers please, donations, if desired, to the National Council for the Blind.
