Canon Séamus passed away peacefully at his residence in his 96th year.

Predeceased by his parents, Martin and Bridget, his brothers, Fr Harry and Paddy, and baby brother Martin.

Deeply regretted by his sister-in-law Angela, niece Patricia, relatives, Bishop Fintan, Fr Donagh O’Meara PP, and the clergy of the Killaloe Diocese.

Canon Séamus will be fondly remembered by Teresa, the parishioners in the parishes where he served and by former students and staff of St Flannan’s College, Ennis, Co Clare.

Rest In Peace

Canon Séamus will repose at St Joseph’s Church, Miltown Malbay, on Tuesday, 28th April, from 4pm to 7pm, followed by evening prayer of the Office of the Dead.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday, 29th April at 2pm, followed by interment in the Church grounds.

A special word of thanks to Teresa and his Carers, Bridget, Martina, Carmel and Anne, who took such wonderful care of Canon Séamus with love, kindness, dignity and respect, enabling him to remain at home as he wished.

Thanks also to Dorothy, who was always at hand, day and night.  To Willy Healy, the Sacristan, to the nurses, Hannah and Maura, to Marie Kelly and her Staff, and to Dr Kelleher and his Staff.

We remember with gratitude, Canon Séamus’s family, especially his cousin Mary, who was very special to him, Teresa’s family, who were always there with help and support, and Fr Donagh who gave such support throughout.
