The Zika virus is creating issues amongst Irish holidaymakers planning to travel to the Americas over the coming weeks and months.

Some airlines and tour operators are refusing to refund or adjust booked holidays.
It comes as the first case of the virus in Europe was confirmed in Spain yesterday.
The Spanish Health Ministry said a pregnant woman had recently returned from Colombia, where it is believed she was infected.
Ciaran Mulligan is from Blue Insurance and he says that pregnant women should check with their operators before travelling.
