A candlelit vigil was held in Kilmihil last night, in support of a young local man who has been left with serious injuries following a car accident.
23-year-old Colum Callinan was the only occupant of the car involved in the single vehicle crash between Kilmihil and Knockalough at around 8:30 on Sunday morning.

He was airlifted to Cork University Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
Gardaí in Kilrush are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
