Gardaí are searching for three men, after a young man was seriously assaulted and robbed while walking home from a popular Ennis amenity.
The young man left Tim Smyth Park on Thursday evening last beween 8.30 and 9pm and noticed three other men he recognised from the basketball courts were following him.
They seriously assaulted him and made their escape on foot, in the direction of St Senan’s Road, after taking a sum of money from him.
One male is described as being 6ft, thick eyebrows, black clothing and a grey furry mask/snood.
Two toher males are described as about 5ft 9in, wearing black clothing and black masks/snoods.
Garda Eimear McDonagh from Clare’s Crime Prevention Office is appealing to anyone that may have been in the Fairgreen or the Basketball court area or walking in the Tulla Road, Kincora Park area that may have seen three males together to contact Ennis Garda Station.
She’s also appealing to homeowners that may have CCTV or Dash Cams on their vehicles to come forward.
