A low level yellow weather alert has been issued for Clare.
Met Éireann is forecasting significant rainfall accumulations from heavy showers and longer spells of rain.

The national forecaster is also warning that isolated thunderstorms are possible.
The alert, which also covers Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal comes into effect at 6 o’clock this evening and remains in place until the same time tomorrow evening.
